Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Coordilis collects on coordilis.com, simulateur.coordilis.com and calculateur.coordilis.com, why, and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector ("Law 25").

Who is responsible

Coordilis, Montréal (Quebec), Canada. Person in charge of personal information protection: [name and title to be completed], reachable at [email protected].

What we collect and why

  • Contact form: name, email, company, message. To answer your request.
  • Report by email: your email, your simulation assumptions and the results. To send you the report. We are also notified of your request and may write to you to follow up.
  • Account and saved simulations: email (sign-in by emailed link, no password), your simulation inputs and results, sector, province, and actual costs if you enter them. To let you find your simulations again.
  • Anonymised comparisons: only if you tick the consent box. Your results are then pooled with others, without identifying you, and shown only when the group has at least 10 projects.
  • Technical data: IP address and browser type, logged by our hosting providers to keep the sites running and secure.

Consent

By submitting a form, creating an account or ticking the consent box, you agree to these uses. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us.

Service providers and transfers outside Quebec

We use Cloudflare (hosting and Turnstile anti-bot check), Formspree (contact form), Resend (email delivery), Supabase (database and sign-in) and Google Fonts (fonts: your IP address is sent to Google when pages load). Some are located outside Quebec, notably in the United States, and your information may be processed there. Database hosting region: Canada (Central). We do not sell your information.

Retention

Contact and report requests: [period to be completed, proposal: 24 months] after the last exchange. Account and simulations: until you ask us to delete them. Anonymised, pooled data may be kept indefinitely.

Your rights

You may ask for access to your information, its correction or deletion, withdrawal of your consent, and a copy in a common format. Write to [email protected]: we reply within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Cookies, local storage and parameters in the address

Our sites do not set advertising or tracking cookies. The simulator uses your browser's local storage to keep your sign-in session and a simulation waiting to be saved.

The simulator and the calculator also write your scenario parameters into the page address (for example ?taux=1.47&fret_min=3500). This lets you reopen or share a scenario exactly as it was. These parameters contain no identifying information and are not passed to third parties: when you leave our sites, only the domain name appears as the source.

Security and incidents

We apply reasonable measures to protect your information. In case of an incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Legal notice

Publisher

Coordilis, [legal form and NEQ to be completed], [address to be completed], Montréal (Quebec), Canada. Email: [email protected]. Publication manager: [name to be completed].

Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States.

Nature of the information and tools

The calculator, the simulator and the reports provide indicative estimates based on your assumptions and on starting values to be validated. Provincial salary indices come from public statistics (Statistics Canada) and rent indices from broker reports (CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield), each with its reference period: they give an order of magnitude, not the price of a specific unit. The customs duty ranges used do not represent supply-managed products in Canada (dairy, cheese, poultry, eggs), whose over-quota tariffs can be far higher. These tools are not a guarantee, nor legal, tax or financial advice.
